We at Berggren have developed, as part of our e-services, a tool to facilitate the management of our client's patent annuities. This new easy-to-use eBerggren Annuity Tool works on all smart devices.
"With the eBerggren Annuity Tool, clients can easily view patent annuities and give their instructions," says IP Specialist Anne Miikkulainen from Berggren's Annuity Team. The cost of the annuities is visible when a decision is made. The system also automatically reminds you of approaching annual fee deadlines.
"The eBerggren Annuity Tool is a major digital improvement for managing the administrational work of a company's patents," says Mika Laajalahti, VP of Berggren Patents. "We wanted to bring the annuity service to a new level for use on mobile devices so that our clients can manage their payment decisions regardless of time and place," Laajalahti continues. The digital service saves working time for both the service user and the service provider. This will allow us to continue to offer competitive patent annuity management without compromising quality. In addition to the e-service, our experienced Annuity Team is available to support strategic decision-making to manage the patent portfolio. The client's own appointed Patent Attorney also has visibility of the tool and can support the decision-making process.
The service will be launched for annual fees due from 1 July 2023. To meet the deadlines, the service will already start sending advance notifications of upcoming annuities to our clients.
